The 2nd Annual Halloween Day Iron Pour is happening again at the UW-Platteville campus, and this year FeLion Studio's furnace ( her name is "FLO"), will have a new play mate to melt metal alongside of ~ how fun!
Word has it, Waupaca Foundry's Engineering Dept. has crafted together a tiny cupola for the event and will be running it in tandem of our little FeLion cupolette for a full night of melting over a ton of iron ! *(That's over 2,000 lbs of metal!)
Come on by if you're in the Platteville, Wisconsin area and looking for something crazy fun to do for Halloween. You can just spectate this fantastical melt-down, or come in costume and prepare to participate by contributing to the Student AFS (American Foundry Society) Club's fundraising efforts, and carving into the pumpkin-shaped sand moulds available for $5 day of the event.
Food, Fire, freaks and geeks ~ That's what this pour is all about !
See ya's at the inferno !
**DETAILS ON LOCATION** :
