About:
The 11th annual Pour'n Yer Heart Out community iron pour event is a radical winter gathering where the community can meet the FeLion Studios’ metal casting process through an engaging, all day demonstration of backyard foundry arts inside a lively party atmosphere. The FeLion iron tribe offers a unique opportunity for anyone to make a custom piece of cast iron art via workshops leading up to the event and on the day-of the pour.
Visitors, artists, students and professionals of all backgrounds come together with the common goal of creating hundreds of unique art works that are made by hand and cast in the spectacular medium of molten metal during the coldest time of year.
Participants vary from people as young as 5 years old to 90 years old, experienced artists and complete novices from entirely non-artistic backgrounds. The results of finished iron castings are distinctively creative, with a dynamic range of talents exhibiting lessons learned from the process, and a new found excitement for the ability to make something that will last longer than their lifetime.

We offer community workshops for every skill level starting in January 2020. Workshops are a fun & inspiring way to bounce ideas off of the FeLion team, meet other community participants, and socialize while you make something incredibly unique with your hands. Do-It-Yourself Sand Molds
For those who aren't the workshop type, we also have a variety of different pre-formed sand mold blanks that you can purchase, take home and work on at your leisure anytime before the day of the iron pour event. Scope out the options and place your order for these hot little items.
Tips & Tricks
Our Tips & Tricks page helps you navigate what to do while you work on your design at home. Our suggestions aim to provide more insight into some of the limits and opportunities within the sand mold carving experience, as well as share some examples of strong designs from the past.
We can't wait to meet you outside this year as we work our little leather jackets off to melt metal in the dead of winter together. It will be hot, heavy and fun, as always!

Without community and industry support over the years, the “Pour’n Yer Heart Out” event wouldn't have made it to the 11th year running. We are so grateful for over a decade of success sharing this radical experience with Madison!
